Director
Michael Sandstrum is a Director with more than 40 years of experience in accounting and IT systems in public accounting and private industry sectors. He has been involved in many areas such as financial auditing, IT auditing, information security management, and consulting. He has held positions as a senior audit manager, tax manager, programmer, systems analyst, IT director, Chief Information Officer, and IT Audit Manager. In addition, Michael has performed SOX internal auditing and has managed or performed numerous SOC 1 SOC 2 and SOC 3 engagements. Michael’s SOC experience represents a vast number of different kinds of third-party service organizations.

Michael earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Auburn University, where he graduated with honors. He received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Accounting from Wichita State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is licensed in Mississippi and Florida. In addition, he is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and ISACA.

In Michael’s free time he enjoys reading books on political theory and history.
